About Norman’s Place
We are a a small animal rescue/sanctuary in Lyndeborough New Hampshire run by owners Jackie and Jason, and a small group of dedicated volunteers. We are dedicated to saving the lives of strays, neglected and abandoned animals, animals from overcrowded shelters and animals at risk for euthanization. We also accept surrenders from deceased owners, hoarding situations and from families that can no longer care for their pet. We believe that all animals deserve to be treated with love and respect. We treat injuries or other health problems, with the goal of eventually placing the ones we can into responsible loving homes.
Our animals are vet checked, screened for infectious diseases, spayed/neutered, and provided with all necessary vaccinations.
100% of all adoption fees and donations go directly to the care of our animals; covering expenses such as food, medical care, training, transportation, etc.
Norman’s Place started as a childhood dream for Jackie Lohnes.
She saved animals and worked at shelters years before she was even of an age to work. Naturally, she became a veterinary technician as it aided in her dream. Fast forward to motherhood, with hard work she ventured out on her own and bought land in Lyndeborough, NH, building a home and a barn. She is not afraid of hard work! Her home has been referred to as the place “with the big brown cow, Norman” hence, Norman’s Place.
In 2020, after years of friendship, she married her now husband, Jason Lohnes. He naturally accepted her mission as his own and became a forever partner in caring for so many lost animal souls and in keeping the shelter and barn afloat.
